hi, im laur.

i like to think in my best life i’m on the lake drinking an aperol spritz in the heat of summer surrounded by those i love the most. however, more regularly than that, I am home in sunny south florida with my husband and dog living in our humble little beach shack, taking photos of humans who have trusted me with their stories. i’m a tattooed, vulnerable, empathetic storyteller who has no shame being the only goofball in the room. my favorite nights are ones that end in a karaoke bar and i would give a lot of things for an extra dirty martini and a trip to nashville, tennessee.

photos, to me, are more than little memories that go in frames at grandma’s house. photos should make you feel, take you back to a place and time, capture more than just a moment. photography, to me, is an art. it’s the people in the photos, but more than that, who they are. what they love. who their mama was to them. their reason for living. i want to capture all of that in the images i take.

my photos have been described best as timeless, romantic, unforced, natural, and raw. my goal is to stand behind the lens and capture who you are as if i wasn’t there. the way you kiss his neck, the way your babies leg rolls squeeze out the bottom of her dress, the look you have on your face and the way you squeeze his hand when he asks you for forever.

i am absolutely honored you are here. im so lucky to get to do this every day, and i do not take for granted the little and big parts of your life that i get to step into and be a part of. - i cannot wait to meet you!
